Allow Size Instructions Yes
Fitting Instruction Application Surface Preparation: Ensure surfaces are clean and dry and free of dirt, dust, wax, and/or polish. Remove all dirt and grease before application of Danish Oil. For aged wood sand back to a clean ‘bright’ surface and wipe with white spirit to remove all dust and debris. Not suitable for use on sealed, varnished or painted wood. Best applied with a lint-free cloth (e.g. T-shirt material). May also be applied with a good quality brush. Danish Oil should be applied evenly. When using a cloth, use a circular or figure of eight pattern to work into the wood, and apply until the wood stops absorbing. Allow to penetrate for 20 – 30 minutes before wiping dry with a lint – free cloth. Do not allow excess to dry on the surface of the wood, as this may result in a tacky or gummy finish. For new wood 3 – 4 coats may be applied. Allow to dry overnight between coats. Repeated application might bring a slight gloss to the finish. Coverage 10- 15 m2 per litre per coat, depending upon porosity, surface texture and thickness applied. Important Danish Oil will bring out the natural colour of the wood. Always test the product on an inconspicuous area to ensure satisfaction.
